DISCOURSE
Discourse is generally
used to designate the forms of representation, codes, conventions and habits of
language that produce specific fields of culturally and historically located
meanings.

of thoughts composed of ideas, attitudes, and courses of action, beliefs and
practices that systematically construct the subjects and the worlds of which
they speak.”

(syntax). Discourse analysts study larger chunks of language as they flow
together.
